RELATING TO ELECTIONS

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Section 17-1-9 of the General Laws in Chapter 17-1 entitled "General

Provisions" is hereby repealed.

17-1-9. At-large election in the town of North Providence. -- In partisan elections for

town council at-large and school committee at-large in the town of North Providence, the names

of every candidate for each office shall appear on the same horizontal line on the voting machine.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
