AMENDING THE RULES OF THE SENATE

     RESOLVED, That Rule 6.9 of the Rules of the Senate for the years 2007 and 2008 is

hereby amended to read as follows:

     6.9 Deadline for consideration.

     After April 12, 2007 for the year 2007 and April 10, 2008 April 24, 2008 for the year

2008, committees shall consider only those public bills which have been acted upon and

transmitted to the senate by the house of representatives; provided, however, that the president of

the senate may request a senate committee to immediately consider a senate bill then in

committee and said bill shall be considered by the committee.
