APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

RESOLVED,
That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not
otherwise
appropriated for the fiscal year 2008-2009 the sums stipulated to pay the
claims of the
following:
Senator
Dominick Ruggerio
The
sum of $1,127.22 to pay the claim of James Hassett of 10 Oakcrest Drive, North
Providence,
Rhode Island 02904 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a highway defect
at or
near
Route 95 northbound and exit 23, in the city of Providence, on or about August
6, 2007;
Senator
Daniel DaPonte
The
sum of $1,178.49 to pay the claim of Kary Cappelli of 150 Scott Street, South
Attleboro,
Massachusetts 02703 for damages to her vehicle when it was struck by airborne
stones
propelled
by a mowing/weed whacking procedure conducted by minimum security porters at or
near
the Pinel Building, Department of Corrections, in the city of Cranston, Rhode
Island on or
about
October 4, 2006;

2007; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his
orders upon the

treasurer for the payment of said sums.
