A N A C T

RELATING TO HOLIDAYS AND DAYS OF SPECIAL OBSERVANCE -- DAYS OF SPECIAL OBSERVANCE

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 25-2 of the General Laws entitled "Days of Special Observance" is

hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

25-2-52. Rhode Island Seabees Day. – The fifth (5th) day of March annually shall be set

apart as a day to be known as “Rhode Island Seabees Day.” The day shall be observed by the

people of this state with appropriate ceremonies and activities that celebrate the many

contributions of the Navy Seabees.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
