A N A C T

RELATING TO AN ACT TO INCORPORATE THE STONE BRIDGE FIRE DISTRICT AND TO FINANCE A SUPPLY OF WATER FOR THE TOWN OF TIVERTON

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

 

     SECTION 1. Section 1 of Chapter 974 of the Public Laws of 1940, as amended by the

Public Laws of 1995, is hereby amended to read as follows:

     Section 1. All that portion of the town of Tiverton enclosed within a line drawn from a

point where the south line of Carey's lane intersects the shore of Mount Hope Bay, and running

southerly along said shore and the shore of the Seaconnet river and the Salt pond to a point where

the said shore is intersected by a line 500' east and parallel to the east line of Highland road,

thence northerly along said line 500' east and parallel to the east line of Highland road to a point

500' east from the easterly line of said Maid road, then northerly running parallel with said Main

Road but 500' east from the easterly line thereof to the easterly prolonged south line of Carey's

lane, thence westerly along said south line of Carey's lane to the point of beginning is hereby

incorporated into a district to be called the Stone Bridge fire district. The portion of the town of

Tiverton to be incorporated into the existing Stone Bridge Fire District is as follows:

     Beginning at a point in the easterly shoreline of Mount Hope Bay, said point being

located where the westerly extension of the southerly line of Carey Lane intersects with the

easterly shore line of Mount Hope Bay, thence southerly along the easterly shoreline of Mount

Hope Bay to a point where the easterly shoreline of Mount Hope Bay becomes the northerly

shoreline of Nannaquaket Pond, thence easterly along the northerly shoreline of Nannaquaket

Pond to the westerly line of Main Road, thence southerly along the westerly line of Main Road to

a point where the westerly line of Main Road intersects the easterly shoreline of Nannaquaket

Pond, thence southerly along the easterly shoreline of Nannaquaket Pond to a point where the

easterly shoreline of Nannaquaket Pond intersects with the southerly line of Lot 28 as shown on

Plan Book 19 Page 70, thence easterly along the southerly line of Lot 28 a distance of 544± feet

to a point in the westerly line of Main Road, thence northeasterly, across Main Road to a point in

the easterly line of Main Road, said point being the intersection of the easterly line of Main Road

with the southerly line of Bulgarmarsh Road, thence easterly along the southerly line of

Bulgarmarsh Road to the point of intersection of the southerly line of Bulgarmarsh Road with the

westerly line of Susan Lane, thence southerly along the westerly line of Susan Lane a distance of
