A N A C T

AUTHORIZING THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF NORTH KINGSTOWN TO EXEMPT FROM TAXATION THE COCUMCUSSOC ASSOCIATION

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 1 of an act passed in the January 1965 session entitled “An Act

Authorizing the Town Council of the Town of North Kingstown to Exempt from Taxation the

Cocumcussoc Association” is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 1. The town council of the town of North Kingstown may exempt from taxation

for such period as it may deem advisable the real estate and personal property of The

Cocumcussoc Association, a corporation duly created under the laws of this state, to an amount

not exceeding in value one hundred thousand dollars eight million dollars ($8,000,000), as long

as said real estate and personal property, and all funds derived from said real estate and personal

property shall be used exclusively for public purposes.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
