A N A C T

AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF BARRINGTON TO ISSUE CLASS A LIQUOR LICENSES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

 

     SECTION 1. In addition to any beverage licenses previously authorized, the town

council of the town of Barrington is hereby authorized to issue Class A alcoholic beverage

licenses as are approved by the qualified electors of the town of Barrington at any general

election as determined by the Barrington town council.

     SECTION 2. The question of the approval of the issuance of Class A alcoholic beverage

licenses may be submitted in substantially the following form:

     Question 1: Shall Class A alcoholic beverage licenses be issued in the town of

Barrington?

     SECTION 3. The warning for the election shall contain the question to be submitted.

From the time the election is warned until it is held, it shall be the duty of the clerk of the town of

Barrington to keep a copy of the act available at his or her office for public inspection.

     SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon passage and the town of Barrington shall be

authorized to issue, in addition to any license previously issued, Class A alcoholic beverage

licenses as are approved by a majority of those voting on the question.

     This act shall take effect upon passage.
