S E N A T E R E S O L U T I O N

AMENDING THE RULES OF THE SENATE

     RESOLVED, That the name of the committee on constitutional and regulatory issues is

hereby amended to be the committee on special legislation; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That rule 5.1-5 of the senate which was adopted by the senate at its January

session, A.D. 2009, entitled "SENATE RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE RULES OF THE

SENATE," be and is hereby amended to read as follows:

     5.1-5 Committee on Constitutional and Regulatory Issues. Committee on Special

Legislation.

     It shall be the duty of the committee on constitutional and regulatory issues special

legislation to consider the appointments of the governor referred to it by the senate which require

the advice and consent of the senate and all legislation and matters relating to constitutional

amendments, liquor laws, gaming issues, license plates, domestic animals, commissions and

resolutions, and to consider such other matters as may be referred to it by the senate.
