J O I N T R E S O L U T I O N

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

     RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not

otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2013-2014 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the

following:

     Senator Daniel DaPonte

     The sum of $480.88 to pay the claim of Judite M. Moniz of 120 Cadorna Street, East

Providence, Rhode Island, 02914, for damages to her vehicle as the result of Department of

Environmental Management employees in the process of cutting grass on the East Bay bike path

at or near County Road in the Town of Barrington on or about August 21, 2012;

     Senator Daniel DaPonte

     The sum of $391.72 to pay the claim of Dulcineia M. DeOliveira of 143 Walnut Street,

East Providence, Rhode Island, 02914, for damages to her vehicle when it struck roadway debris

while traveling west on Route 195 at or near the Route 95 merge in the City of Providence on or

about November 16, 2011;

     Senator Adam J. Satchell

     The sum of $1,488.23 to pay the claim of Joe Cornicelli of 77 Mello Street West,

Warwick, Rhode Island, 02893, for damages to his vehicle as the result of an unmarked tree

stump in the parking area of Goddard State Park in the City of Warwick on or about July 12,

2012;

     Senator Dominick J. Ruggerio

     The sum of $5,355.52 to pay the claim of Lisa Cataldi of 22 Piave Street, North

Providence, Rhode Island, 02904, for damages to her vehicle when it was struck by roadway

debris in the area of One Capitol Hill in the City of Providence on or about February 28, 2013;

     Senator James E. Doyle II

     The sum of $176.00 to pay the claim of Dale G. Rogers of 35 Spring Street, Pawtucket,

Rhode Island, 02860, for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by roadway debris while

traveling north on Route 95 in the City of Pawtucket on or about August 27th 2012;

     Senator Frank A. Ciccone, III

     The sum of $310.00 to pay the claim of David R. Papazian for damages to his property at

1726 Smith Street in the Town of North Providence as the result of a State of Rhode Island

Department Transportation snow plow on or about December 27, 2012;

     Senator Roger A. Picard

     The sum of $1,309.21 to pay the claim of Jenny Lynn Soares of 100 Pine Swamp Road,

Cumberland, Rhode Island, 02864, for damages to her vehicle when it struck roadway debris

while traveling on Nate Whipple Highway in the Town of Cumberland on or about April 24,

2010;

     Senator Paul W. Fogarty

     The sum of $245.41 to pay the claim of Richard Autiello of 1152 Reynolds Road,

Glocester, Rhode Island, 02814, for damages to his vehicle when is struck a roadway defect while

traveling west on Route 6 at or near Reservoir Avenue in the City of Cranston on or about April

4th 2013; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders upon the

general treasurer for the said sums.
