S E N A T E    R E S O L U T I O N

ADVISING MR. ROBERT KRAFT, OWNER OF THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS THAT WE IN RHODE ISLAND STATE SENATE WOULD WELCOME THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS INTO RHODE ISLAND ON A FULL TIME BASIS

WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots Football Organization is looking to re-locate his football team out of Foxboro, Massachusetts and construct a new, state of the art, stadium facility; and

WHEREAS, Our State of Rhode Island and the New England Patriots Organization presently enjoy a good relationship as the home of the Patriots Training Camp at Bryant College; and

WHEREAS, Our capital city of Providence is being recognized nationally as a renaissance city; and

WHEREAS, Our State of Rhode Island is fast becoming a destination of choice by air travelers as the Gateway to New England; and

WHEREAS, The building of a new stadium facility in Rhode Island would be of mutual benefit to the New England Patriots and the Citizens of Rhode Island; now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That we in the Rhode Island State Senate would welcome Robert Kraft and the entire New England Patriots Organization to Rhode Island on a full time basis and hereby extend an open invitation to discuss this possibility in the very near future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots.
