S E N A T E    R E S O L U T I O N

REINSTATING THE LIFE OF AND EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATION DATES OF THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO REVIEW AND REVISE THE RHODE ISLAND GENERAL LAWS RELATING TO THE EXPUNGEMENT OF CRIMINAL RECORDS AND THE FILING OF COMPLAINTS

RESOLVED, That the special legislative commission created by resolution No. 43 passed by the general assembly at its January session, A.D. 1996, approved March 27, 1996 entitled "Senate Resolution Creating a Special Senate Commission to Review and Revise the Rhode Island General Laws as Relating to the Expungement of Criminal Records and the Filing of Complaints" is hereby reinstated and the same members with the addition of a representative of the Public Defenders Office or a member of the Criminal Defense Bar are hereby reappointed, and it is authorized to continue its study and make a report to the general assembly on or before February 4, 1998; and said commission shall expire on April 4, 1998; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the time for reporting and date of expiration authorized by resolution No. 43, passed by the general assembly at its January session, A.D. 1996, and approved March 27, 1996 be and the same are hereby rescinded.
