H O U S E    R E S O L U T I O N

RESPECTFULLY REQEUSTING THE GOVERNOR TO GIVE IMMEDIATE ATTENTION TO THE HOMEVEST DRY BRIDGE ROAD LANDFILL IN THE TOWN OF NORTH KINGSTOWN

WHEREAS, The conditions at Homevest Dry Bridge Road Landfill in the town of North Kingstown have developed into an emergency situation; and

WHEREAS, The potential health risks not only effects the immediate neighborhood because of noxious orders that are eminating from the landfill but also for the entire town as it relates to the town's water supply; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the state of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations hereby respectfully requests the Governor to direct his immediate attention to assist the town of North Kingstown in developing remedies to close and cap the Homevest Dry Bridge in the town of North Kingstown; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the secretary of state be and he hereby is authorized and directed to transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Governor Lincoln C. Almond.
