H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING THAT THE GOVERNOR INITIATE A FINANCIAL ANALYSIS FOR THE COST OF COMPLETING THE MOSHASSUCK VALLEY INDUSTRIAL HIGHWAY AND WORK TO AFFECT THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT

WHEREAS, The Moshassuck Valley Industrial Highway runs through Lincoln, Central Falls and Pawtucket, running parallel to Lonsdale Avenue and Smithfield Avenue; and

WHEREAS, Running from Higginson Avenue to Weeden Street in Pawtucket, the Moshassuck Valley Industrial Highway needs to go from Weeden Street to Mineral Spring Avenue to Route 95; and

WHEREAS, Completion of the Moshassuck Valley Industrial Highway will alleviate industrial traffic on Smithfield Avenue, Lonsdale Avenue, Mineral Spring Avenue, Weeden Street and Higginson Avenue, improve the quality of life for residents and revitalize this industrial area; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations hereby respectfully requests that the Governor initiate a financial analysis for the cost of completing the Moshassuck Valley Industrial Highway, and include the project in the construction plan for the Rhode Island Department of Transportation; be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Governor Lincoln C. Almond.
