RESOLVED, That whereas both houses of the January 1997 Session of the general assembly have been in recess since June 27, 1997, the January 1997 Session of the Rhode Island House of Representatives and Senate, lawfully reconvened on January 7, 1997, is hereby adjourned on January 6, 1998 and the Rhode Island House of Representatives and Senate shall convene on said January 6, 1998 for the January 1998 Session immediately upon such adjournment.

Said adjournment by the Rhode Island Senate and the Rhode Island House of Representatives are hereby accorded the consent of both the Rhode Island Senate and the Rhode Island House of Representatives in accordance with Section 9 of Article VI of the Rhode Island Constitution.
