It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 45-23-24 of the General Laws in Chapter 45-23 entitled "Subdivision of Land" is hereby amended to read as follows:
45-23-24. {DEL Notification of new plats
to law enforcement and emergency service authorities. -- DEL}
{ADD Notification of new plats to law enforcement, postal service
and emergency service authorities. -- ADD} Upon approval of
any new plat pursuant to section 45-23-9, the plan commission
shall, within five (5) days of the approval, notify the local
police and fire authorities servicing the new plat of the location,
number of lots, and assigned addresses of the lots, if any. The
plan commission shall also, within five (5) days of the approval,
forward the above specified information to the statewide "911"
emergency authority {DEL . DEL} {ADD and the postal service
address management systems department. ADD}
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
