CONFIRMING PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION OF AMERICAN BAPTIST CHURCHES OF RHODE ISLAND

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. All property, real and personal, of American Baptist Churches of Rhode Island shall be exempt from taxation so long as such property shall be used by said American Baptist Churches of Rhode Island for camping and conferencing or otherwise in furtherance of the purposes of said corporation, provided, that the amount of this exemption shall not exceed seven million dollars ($7,000,000).

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
