IN AMENDMENT OF THE QUINNVILLE FIRE DISTRICT IN THE TOWN OF LINCOLN

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 11 of the act passed at the January Session, 1928, approved March 23, 1928, and amended at the January Session, 1954, approved April 26, 1954, entitled "An Act to Incorporate the Quinnville Fire District in the Town of Lincoln" is hereby further amended to read as follows:

"Sec. 11. Said electors may hold special meetings foe which, as well as the annual meetings, notices for the same shall be posted in such manner as prescribed in section 9 hereof. It shall be the duty of the clerk to call a special meeting upon written application signed by ten or more of said electors and, whenever the subject of ordering a tax or borrowing money is to be acted on, the same shall be mentioned in the notice unless it be an annual meeting.

In no case, however, shall the electors assembled at a special meeting be enabled to lower the tax rate set and voted at the annual meeting as described in section 3."

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
