RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION TO INVESTIGATE THE POSSIBILITY OF INCLUDING CPR INSTRUCTION IN DRIVERS' EDUCATION COURSES

RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations hereby respectfully requests the commissioner of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to investigate the possibility of including two (2) hours of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) instruction in the drivers' education course; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the commissioner of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
