J  O  I  N  T     R  E  S  O  L  U  T  I  O  N

EXTENDING THE REPORTING DATE OF THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF ALLOWING UNIONIZED CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES AT ALL HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS TO BE ABLE TO NEGOTIATE DIRECTLY WITH RHODE ISLAND BOARD OF GOVERNORS

RESOLVED, That the special legislative commission created by resolution No. 343 passed by the general assembly at its January session, A.D. 1998, and effective June 29, 1998, entitled "Joint Resolution Creating A Special Legislative Commission To Study The Feasibility Of Allowing Unionized Classified Employees At All Higher Education Institutions To Be Able To Negotiate Directly With Rhode Island Board Of Governors" is hereby authorized to continue its study and make a report to the general assembly on or before January 27, 2001, and said commission shall expire on April 15, 2001; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 343 passed by the general assembly at its January session, A.D. 1998, and effective June 29, 1998, be and the same is hereby rescinded.
