S  E  N  A  T  E     R  E  S  O  L  U  T  I  O  N

PROCLAIMING JULY 21, 2001 AS "ALESSANDRA CRUDELE AND ANGELO FIORE DAY" IN THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND

WHEREAS, Alessandra Crudele has had a life-long relationship with the Sorrentino-Ciullo family of Rhode Island through the generous hospitality and deep friendship shown to them by her and her parents, Raffaele and Giovanna, and her brothers Doctor Eugenio Crudele and Gianluca Crudele; and

WHEREAS, Her grandparents, as well as her aunts and uncles, have been a part of that circle through her cousin Francesco Sforza, son of Teresa and Nicola, who lived in Rhode Island with the Sorrentino-Ciullos and is like a son to them, and because all these people have, through their affection, connected these families even further over the course of four decades; and

WHEREAS, The groom, Italian businessman Angelo Fiore, has become a part of this circle of friendship through his much appreciated devotion to Alessandra and his great personal "simpatia" and intelligence; and

WHEREAS, Angelo's brilliant career and affectionate and thoughtful nature further insure the happiness of this handsome and accomplished couple; and

WHEREAS, Luisa Ciullo and Glen Maloof, along with their daughter Carissa Joy, wish to join with their parents, the Honorable Albert Ciullo and his wife Mary Ann Sorrentino in celebrating the happy occasion of Alessandra and Angelo's wedding, and wish them good health, happiness, and prosperity in their new life together, especially since Glenn and Luisa spent part of their honeymoon with the Crudele family in Italy; and

WHEREAS, The happy couple, following their wedding in Pontecagnano, Italy, have chosen, in their wisdom, Rhode Island and Southern New England as the place where they will have their honeymoon; and

WHEREAS, The greater Rhode Island community would like to share in their joy and celebrate their first visit to this country by gracing the State of Rhode Island with their presence; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, inasmuch as it can express the will of the citizens statewide whom it represents, would like to officially welcome them and wish them a long, happy, healthy and prosperous life together, and proclaim July 21, 2001 as "Alessandra Crudele and Angelo Fiore Day" in the State of Rhode Island; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Alessandra Crudele and Angelo Fiore.
