J O I N T R E S O L U T I O N
EXTENDING THE REPORTING DATE OF THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF ALLOWING UNIONIZED CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES AT ALL HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS TO BE ABLE TO NEGOTIATE DIRECTLY WITH RHODE ISLAND BOARD OF GOVERNORS
RESOLVED, That the special legislative commission created by resolution No. 343 passed by the General Assembly at its January session, A.D. 1998 and effective June 29, 1998 entitled "Joint Resolution creating a special legislative commission to study the feasibility of allowing unionized classified employees at all Higher Education Institutions to be able to negotiate directly with Rhode Island Board of Governors", and as amended by resolution No. 355 passed by the General Assembly at its January session A.D. 2000 and effective July 22, 2000 entitled "Joint Resolution extending the reporting date of the special legislative commission to study the feasibility of allowing unionized classified employees at all Higher Education Institutions to be able to negotiate directly with Rhode Island Board of Governors" is hereby authorized to continue its study and make a report to the General Assembly on or before January 29, 2002 and said commission shall expire on March 29, 2002 and be it further
RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 343 passed by the General Assembly at its January session, A.D. 1998 and effective June 29, 1998 and as amended by resolution No. 355 passed by the General Assembly at its January session, A.D. 2000 and effective July 22, 2000 be and the same are hereby rescinded.
