HOUSE RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE POSITION OF CHIEF OF THE DIVISION OF ORAL HEALTH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

WHEREAS, The assurance of good oral health is an important goal of the public health system in Rhode Island; and

WHEREAS, Such a goal can most efficiently and effectively be attained and maintained by the establishment and funding of the position of Chief of the Division of Oral Health in the Rhode Island Department of Health; be it therefor

RESOLVED, That the Rhode Island Department of Health in its planned staffing of the department in fiscal 1997 be and it hereby is respectfully requested to provide for a full-time position of director of the Division of Oral Health; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Chief of the Division of Oral Health shall be a license dentist possessing a masters degree in public health; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the budget office of the executive department include the necessary funding for such position in its budget for fiscal 1997; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the General Assembly approve such position and funding therefor.
