SENATE RESOLUTION DECLARING APRIL 23, 1996 TO BE PROFESSIONAL DAY IN RHODE ISLAND

WHEREAS, The Rhode Island Chapter of the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters and Chartered Financial Consultants have coordinated the Professional Day gathering of their membership, The Rhode Island Bar Association, and the Rhode Island Society of Certified Professional Accountants annually for the last five years; and

WHEREAS, This event brings to the professional membership of these organizations outstanding speakers on a wide range of subjects to assist them in delivering their professional services to the citizens of our state; and

WHEREAS, This year on April 23, the noted licensed psycho-therapist, ordained minister, and headline stand-up comedian, Dr. Will Miller, will present ideas and humor to assist members of these associations in dealing with the daily challenges of their professional and personal lives; and

WHEREAS, These three professional groups make significant and positive contributions to the economy of our State and the well-being of our citizenry; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations hereby extends its very best wishes for a successful evening on the 5th Annual Professional Day meeting. To further congratulate these worthy organizations, this Senate hereby declares April 23, 1996, to be Professional Day in Rhode Island; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters and Chartered Financial Consultants.
