WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the students attending our public colleges and universities that required texts be made readily available to them; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations hereby respectfully requests that the Board of Governors for Higher Education require that public colleges and universities maintain in their libraries at least one reserved copy of all required texts for every course offered; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Chairman of the Board of Governors for Higher Education.
