RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 1996-1997, the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the following:

Senator Celona

the sum of $153.73 to pay the claim of Gary Adinolfi of 13G The Hamlet, Enfield, Connecticut 06082 for damages to his vehicle which occurred on February 25, 1996 when while traveling near 146 Northbound near No. Smithfield Auto Body, his vehicle struck a highway defect;

Senator Celona

the sum of $700 to pay the claim of Diane L. Alardi of 41 Pleasant View Avenue, North Providence, Rhode Island 02904, for damages to her vehicle which occurred on November 28, 1994 when it was struck by a fallen diseased tree at or near parcel #13, U.R.I./C.C.E. parking lot in the city of Providence;

the sum of $86.00 to pay the claim of Joao G. Andrade of 22 North Street, Riverside, Rhode Island 02915 for damages to his vehicle which occurred on or about February 21, 1996 when it struck a highway defect at or near the Route 195 Westbound exit in the city of Providence;

the sum of $281.25 to pay the claim of Loretta Brown of 1 Puritan Street, Apt. #10, North Providence, Rhode Island 02904 for damages to her vehicle when her vehicle struck a highway defect at or near 95 Northbound, and 295 Northbound, entering access road in the city of Warwick on or about November 18, 1994;

the sum of $152.64 to pay the claim of Thomas J. Capuzziello of 13 South Terrace, Milford, Massachusetts 01757 for damages to his vehicle which occurred on or about January 19, 1996 when while traveling north on Route 146, at or near the Worcester, Park Avenue, Woonsocket cutoff, in the town of North Smithfield, his vehicle struck a highway defect;

Senator Goodwin

the sum of $174.97 to pay the claim of Joseph Castaldi of 135 Sharon Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02908 for damages to his vehicle which occurred on or about March 11, 1996 when it struck a highway defect at or near Route 10 in the city of Providence;

the sum of $126.53 to pay the claim of Kerri A. Courtemanche of 14 Sherwood Lane, Greenville, Rhode Island 02828 for damages to her vehicle when her vehicle struck a highway defect at or near Hartford Avenue, Westbound near Brown Avenue in Johnston, Rhode Island on or about February 24, 1996;

the sum of $517.46 to pay the claim of E.J. Duquette Associates, Inc. of 1130 Ten Rod Road, North Kingstown, Rhode Island 02852 for damage to the corporation vehicle when it struck a highway defect while traveling North at or near Douglas Pike approximately 100 yards south of the Sunoco Station in the town of Smithfield;

the sum of $140.64 to pay the claim of Mary L. Freitas of 2596 Hartford Avenue, Johnston, Rhode Island 02919 for damages to her vehicle when while traveling at or near Route 195 Eastbound, on the Gano Street exit in the city of Providence, her vehicle struck a highway defect on February 9, 1996;

the sum of $44.94 to pay the claim of Joseph A. Furtado of 15 Collins Street, Bristol, Rhode Island 02809 for damages to his vehicle which occurred while traveling at or near Route 195 Eastbound, prior to exit 2, in East Providence, when his vehicle struck a highway defect, on or about January 27, 1996;

the sum of $253.64 to pay the claim of Patricia A. Gomes of 117 Canonchet Drive, Portsmouth, Rhode Island 02871 for damage to her vehicle which occurred on or about January 16, 1996 when it struck a highway defect, at or near East Main Road (Route 138), while traveling north just before Ray's Auto Sales in the town of Portsmouth;

the sum of $21.55 to pay the claim of Linda S. Gould of 99 Rockland Street, Fall River, Massachusetts 02724 for damages to her vehicle which occurred on or about February 9, 1996 when it struck a highway defect at or near Route 95 Eastbound, Downtown Exit, in the city of Providence;

the sum of $82.34 to pay the claim of Lois R. Gray of 11 Martin Drive, Raynham, Massachusetts 02767 for damages to her vehicle which occurred on or about January 24, 1996 when it struck a highway defect at or near Route 7 North between Route 295 and Route 116 in the town of Smithfield;

the sum of $109.14 to pay the claim of Neil H. Janson of 32 Social Drive, Warwick, Rhode Island 02886 for damages to his vehicle which occurred on March 4, 1994 when, while traveling North on Post Road near T.F. Green Airport in the city of Warwick, his vehicle struck a pothole;

the sum of $579.49 to pay the claim of Robert D. Katz of 342 Davis Street, Portsmouth, Rhode Island 02871 for damages to his vehicle which occurred on or about January 13, 1996 when, while traveling South at or near 278 West Main Road (Route 114) in the town of Middletown, his vehicle struck a highway defect;

the sum of $175.00 to pay the claim of Tamar Nawar of 90 Mitola Drive, North Kingstown, Rhode Island 02852 for damages to his vehicle which occurred on or about March 12, 1994 when, while traveling North on Post Road, at or near the North Kingstown Police Department, in the town of North Kingstown, his vehicle struck a highway defect;

the sum of $191.91 to pay the claim of Trisha M. Pelland of 593 Brayton Avenue, Somerset, Massachusetts 02726 for damages to 175 vehicle which occurred on or about February 6, 1996 when, while traveling East at or near Route 195 Gano Street exit, in the city of Providence, her vehicle struck a highway defect;

the sum of $123.95 to pay the claim of Jeffrey N. Phillips of 65 Huling Lane, East Greenwich, Rhode Island 02818, for damages to his vehicle which occurred on March 25, 1996 when, while traveling on Route 95 at the Route 195 split in the city of Providence, his vehicle struck a pothole;

the sum of $351.26 to pay the claim of Karen Woolfall-Quinn of 50 Shady Hill Drive, West Warwick, Rhode Island 02893 for damages to her vehicle which occurred on March 8, 1996 when, while traveling North on Route 95 on the Route 10 North Exit in the city of Providence, her vehicle struck a pothole;

Royer of 3 Remington Circle, North Smithfield, Rhode Island 02896 for damages to her vehicle which occurred on February 21, 1996 when, while traveling north at or near Route 146, in front of Eastern Landscaping, in the town of North Smithfield, her vehicle struck a highway defect;

the sum of $381.36 to pay the claim of Marion J. Selby and V.W. Credit, Inc. of 2333 Wawkegan Road, Deerfield, Illinois 60015 for damages to their vehicle which occurred on or about January 12, 1996 when it struck a highway defect at or near Route 146 North and Eastern Landscaping Company in the town of North Smithfield;

the sum of $317.02 to pay the claim of Irene P. Smith of 308 Chapel Street, Harrisville, Rhode Island 02830 for damages to her vehicle which occurred on or about January 20, 1996 when it struck a highway defect at or near Route 98 North, Steere Farm Road, approximately 1/8 of a mile South of Burrillville Elementary School in Harrisville;

the sum of $121.31 to pay the claim of Christine Strynar of 45 Pinecrest Road, Uxbridge, Massachusetts 01569 for damages to her vehicle which occurred on or about January 19, 1996 when, while traveling North at or near Route 146 before the 146A split, in the town of North Smithfield, her vehicle struck a highway defect;

the sum of $304.31 to pay the claim of Christine M. Sullivan of 13 Sabbatia Trail, Saunderstown, Rhode Island 02874 for damages to her vehicle which occurred on or about March 8, 1996 when it struck a highway defect at or near Route 95 Southbound and Route 195 Eastbound in the city of Providence;

the sum of $70.30 to pay the claim of Dennis B. Sullivan of 396 Indian Avenue, Portsmouth, Rhode Island 02871 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or near exit 20, Route 195 Southbound and Route 195 Eastbound, approaching Washington Bridge in the city of Providence on or about January 27, 1996;

the sum of $78.09 to pay the claim of Edward N. Tew of 4 Ives Street, Hope, Rhode Island 02831 for damages to his vehicle which occurred on or about October 28, 1995 when it struck a highway defect at or near Knotty Oak Road Southbound in the town of Coventry;

the sum of $650.00 to pay the claim of Doreen A. Tirocchi of 101 Sayles Avenue, Pascoag, Rhode Island 02859 for damages to her vehicle which occurred on January 15, 1996 when, while traveling West on Putnam Pike, at or near St. Phillip Church, in the town of Greenville, her vehicle struck a highway defect;

Senators O'Leary, Kells and Goodwin

the sum of $94.18 to pay the claim of Reverend Clyde J. Walsh of 493 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Apt. 16, Providence, Rhode Island 02908 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or near access road to Route 10 from Harris Avenue, in the city of Providence on or about February 21, 1996; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders upon the general treasurer for the payment of said sum.
