J O I N T   R E S O L U T I O N

REINSTATING THE LIFE OF AND EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATION DATES OF AND AMENDING THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO STUDY AND REVIEW THE EFFECTS OF THE RHODE ISLAND GUARDIANSHIP LAW

RESOLVED, That the special legislative commission created by resolution No. 214 passed by the general assembly at its January session, A.D. 1995, approved June 27, 1995, entitled "Joint Resolution Creating A Special Legislative Commission To Study and Review the Effects of the Rhode Island Guardianship Law" and as amended by resolution No. 201 passed by the general assembly at its January session, A.D. 1996, and approved July 31, 1996, entitled "Joint Resolution Extending the Reporting Date of the Special Legislative Commission To Study and Review the Effects of the Rhode Island Guardianship Law" is hereby reinstated, and it is authorized to continue its study and make a report to the general assembly on or before April 16, 1999; and said commission shall expire on June 16, 1999; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the time for reporting and date of expiration authorized by resolution No. 214, passed by the general assembly at its January session, A.D. 1995, and approved June 27, 1995 and as amended by resolution No. 201, passed by the general assembly at its January session, A.D. 1996, and approved July 31, 1996, be and the same are hereby rescinded; and be it further

RESOLVED, That said commission is hereby amended by substituting one (1) member of the general public with the director of the department of elderly affairs, or his/her designee.
