MEMORIALIZING CONGRESS TO IMPLEMENT A NATIONAL DATA BANK DOCUMENTING PERSONS CONVICTED OF CHILD ABUSE/NEGLECT

RESOLVED, That this General Assembly of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations hereby memorializes Congress to set up a National Data Bank to collect documentation of persons who have been adjudicated for any violations of a local, state, or federal law, relating to child abuse and neglect; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he is hereby authorized and directed to transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to the entire Rhode Island delegation to the United States Congress.
