WHEREAS, It has long been the policy and custom of the House of Representatives concerning its rules of governance for the time it is in session, immediately following its organization in odd-numbered years, to continue in force and effect its rules for the previous session of the House of Representatives until such time as new rules are adopted; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House adopt as temporary rules, the rules under which it operated during the 1997-1998 session, pending the report of the rules committee and the adoption of a resolution embodying permanent rules for the 1999-2000 session.
