§ 28-27-1 Purpose. –
This chapter is necessary to protect the life, property, safety, and welfare of
the people of Rhode Island; to promote conservation of our natural resources
used to generate energy; the proper installation of all piping systems and/or
equipment used in fire protection systems; and in the generation and
consumption of energy used for the purpose of all heating, cooling and air
distribution systems.
