§ 42-115-1 Community resource assistance
commission created.
There is created a commission to be known as the community resource assistance
commission. The commission shall consist of thirteen (13) members, four (4) of
whom shall be from the house of representatives, not more than three (3) from
the same political party, to be appointed by the speaker; two (2) of whom shall
be from the senate, not more than one from the same political party, to be
appointed by the president of the senate; one of whom shall be the director of
human services, or designee; one of whom shall be the director of the
department of health, or designee; one of whom shall be the director of elderly
affairs, or designee; one of whom shall be the attorney general, or designee;
and three (3) shall be members of the general public, to be appointed by the
speaker and to serve for terms of two (2) years. Vacancies on the commission
shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.
