§ 42-16.1-17 Severability.
If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or part of this chapter or the
application of any part to any person or circumstances shall, for any reason,
be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, that judgment
does not affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this chapter and the
application of this chapter to other persons or circumstances, but is confined
in its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or part of this
chapter directly involved in the controversy in which the judgment has been
rendered and to the person or circumstances involved.
