§ 45-19-8 Administration of fire fighter's
relief. –
The fund shall be used for the relief of fire fighters, injured in the
performance of their duty at a fire or in going to or returning from the fire,
and for the relief of the widows, widowers, or domestic partners and children
of fire fighters killed in the performance of their duty, in the manner and to
the amount determined by the board of fire fighter's relief in the department
of labor and training, which board shall administer the fund for the relief of
fire fighters as provided in this chapter.
