§ 45-4-2 Meetings not to interfere with
elections. –
In towns not divided into voting districts, and in which town meetings for the
election of town officers and for the transaction of town business are held on
the same day as an election for the officers mentioned in § 17-18-5 is
held, the town meetings shall be held and conducted so as not to interfere or
conflict with the provisions of chapters 2 – 4 of title 17.
