§ 5-6-24.1 Apprentices certified by other
states.
Any apprentice electrician holding an apprentice certificate, license, or
equivalent document issued by another state shall register with and obtain the
approval of the division of professional regulation in the department of labor
and training prior to being permitted to work or serve as an electrician's
apprentice in this state. Provided, no approval shall be granted unless the
applicant demonstrates to the board that the applicant is currently enrolled in
one hundred forty-four (144) hours of electrical related classroom instruction
per year for not less than four (4) years in an indentured apprenticeship
program approved by the department of labor and training.
