§ 27-9-8. Filings by advisory organizations.
(a) An insurer may satisfy its obligation to make filings by becoming a member of, or a subscriber to, a licensed advisory organization which makes filings, and by authorizing the director to accept those filings on its behalf; provided, that nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed as requiring any insurer to become a member of, or a subscriber to, any advisory organization.
(b) Every advisory organization shall file with the director for approval all prospective loss costs, provisions for special assessments, and all supplementary rating information and every change or amendment or modification of any of these proposed for use in this state. These filings shall be subject to the provisions of chapter 7.1 of this title, relating to workers’ compensation insurance.
