RELATING TO HEALTH AND SAFETY -- RHODE ISLAND RESOURCE RECOVERY | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 23-19 of the General Laws entitled "Rhode Island Resource |
2 | Recovery Corporation" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 23-19-31.1. Prohibition of recyclable material and waste. -- (a) No recyclable |
4 | materials and/or recyclable waste shall be disposed of at the central landfill. |
5 | (b) The Rhode Island resource and recovery corporation shall promulgate any rules and |
6 | regulations that may be necessary to enforce the mandates contained in this section. |
7 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
